The company said that the move, which is already a feature on Uber Eats, comes after it noticed that many customers on the app place a second order within minutes of their first.
The data comes after ONS research found that the number of women in technology roles had declined by 3,000 during the second quarter of the year compared to the first few months.
Data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) found that while the overall industry grew during the period, the number of women in the sector declined between the first quarter – January and March – and the second quarter – April and June.
The partnership has launched with an initial eight Majestic stores in Birmingham, Brighton, Cambridge, Clapham, Esher, Notting Hill, St John’s Wood and Westbury-on-Trym, but will be rolled out to a total of 177 locations by the end of October.
