Just Eat signs new deal with Morrisons

Just Eat has entered a new deal with UK supermarket chain Morrisons.

The online delivery platform will carry out on-demand deliveries for the supermarket chain’s convenience store network.

The company will initially roll out its delivery service to nearly 60 Morrisons Daily stores this month, with plans to expand to more than 650 locations early next year.

“We have Morrisons Dailys across the country and partnering with Just Eat will offer another fast and convenient way for customers to get Morrisons groceries delivered straight to their door," said Joseph Sutton, online & wholesale director, Morrisons Convenience. "We’re committed to offering great value and high quality products to our customers however they choose to shop.”

The move comes following a year of what Just Eat describes as "rapid growth" for its grocery and convenience estate in the UK.

Amy Heather, strategic accounts director, Just Eat UK said "We know that our customers are increasingly seeking convenience, particularly in those busy moments like Christmas, and our partnership with Morrisons Daily shows our ongoing commitment to delivering a wide range and more options for our customers to get whatever they need, wherever and whenever they need them.”
