Jamie’s Italian upgrades PoS systems

Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group has enhanced its customer service with an upgrade to its point of sale (PoS) systems.

The Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group, which comprises of London restaurants, Fifteen, Barbecoa, Jamie Oliver’s Diner and Jamie’s Italian, selected a new PoS solution from Box Technologies which will provide quicker service for customers and support the restaurant group as it moves towards mobile.

Having already implemented kitchen display systems from Box Technologies across its UK estate to streamline its food order preparation, Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group is now also looking to future-proof its point of sale system under this new deal.

Marcin Korowiecki, head of IT systems at Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group, commented: “We operate in extremely busy restaurant environments – our larger restaurants can process anywhere up to 600 covers each day, seven days a week – so we knew our new PoS hardware needed to be fast, sleek, easy-to use and very reliable.”

“Box Technologies have been highly responsive during our rigorous selection process and they have helped us choose the right Cielo PoS device for our business needs.”

Raj Parmar marketing director at Box Technologies, added: “It is always a pleasure to collaborate with forward-thinking restaurant brands, such as Jamie’s Italian and Jamie’s Diner, because they understand that customer experience is paramount and diners now expect seamless and frictionless encounters from ordering their meal to settling up their bill.”
