Intel launches GenAI software company for enterprises

Intel has partnered with global investment firm DigitalBridge Group to launch a new AI software company.

The enterprise-focused business, called Articul8, has developed a full-stack generative AI software platform designed to keep “customer data, training and inference within the enterprise security perimeter”.

Intel said Articul8’s platform will allow enterprises to scale AI and is compatible with on-prem, cloud or hybrid development.

The tech giant added that the technology, which has already been deployed at Boston Consulting group, can be used in a variety of industries including financial services, semiconductors and telecommunications.

The company will be led by Arun Subramaniyan, formerly vice president and general manager in Intel’s data centre and AI group.

Articul8 will remain independent but continue to work with Intel on GenAI adoption in businesses.

DigitalBridge Ventures, the venture initiative of DigitalBridge, served as lead investor of Articul8 and will take an equity stake in the company. Other investors included Fin Capital, GiantLeap Capital and Zain Group.

“With its deep AI and HPC domain knowledge and enterprise-grade GenAI deployments, Articul8 is well positioned to deliver tangible business outcomes for Intel and our broader ecosystem of customers and partners,” said Pat Gelsinger, chief executive at Intel. “As Intel accelerates AI everywhere, we look forward to our continued collaboration with Articul8."
