Honda to launch 30 EV models by 2030

Honda has announced it is planning to launch 30 electric vehicle (EV) models globally by 2030.

The company said that it will have a production volume of two million units every year.

Over the next decade, the multinational manufacturer is allocating around five trillion yen to electrification and software technologies.

Honda says overall R&D expenses budgeted for this period will be eight trillion yen.

Honda will also be building a demonstration line for the production of its all-solid-state batteries with an investment of approximately 43 billion yen and further accelerate the research with a goal to start demonstration production in Spring 2024.
