Harrods announces launch of new e-commerce platform

Harrods has unveiled a new e-commerce platform.

The luxury department store's new platform, developed by enterprise commerce platform SCAYLE, aims to "elevate the online purchasing experience" for its global customers through improved customisation and personalisation.

The new platform also facilitates custom brand landing pages for Harrods.

It includes several software solutions, including product information management, shop management, and an order management system, as well as an integrated ERP alongside other third-party systems.

Following the rollout, Harrods is also planning to upgrade its native mobile app, which is set to launch in the next few months.

“Harrods is committed to delivering best-in-class and engaging customer experiences, and this means choosing partners that are equally committed to innovation,” said Caitlin Innes, chief digital and customer officer.

Innes added that the new platform enables the retailer to deliver "premium experiences" on an increasingly global scale.
