Getir partners with Just Eat

Grocery delivery service Getir has reportedly announced a European partnership with Just Eat.

Just Eat told Reuters that under the new partnership, Getir's groceries will be listed on its platform and can be ordered via its smartphone app but will be delivered by Getir couriers.

The companies said the partnership will be launched in Germany next week, with plans to expand to the UK, Spain, Italy and France this year.

The news follows reports of Getir being in “advanced talks” to acquire its beleaguered rival Gorillas.

Sources previously told Bloomberg the proposed deal would be a mix of cash and equity but added that no final decisions have been made and the deliberations may not result in a transaction.
