Tata joins subsea race

After news of the Google subsea communications plans comes Tata Communications, Facebook, China Telecom Global, China Unicom and Telstra joining to create a trans-Pacific cable system.

Linking Hong Kong and California directly (almost all networks between Asia and the US have previously been routed via Japan) the new Hong Kong-Americas (HKA) subsea cable system will be completed and connected to Tata Communications’ global network in 2020.
