JD Sports has turned the front of their store on Oxford Street into an arcade game under a partnership with Snapchat.
The technology uses augmented reality to allow people to play a grabber game via the Snapchat lens.
Users need to scan a code on the store window or point their Snapchat camera at the storefront to access the game.
Snapchat is best known for its AR ‘lenses’ on phones, which overlay art on selfies or change live images.
Other firms have used Snapchat lenses to enhance the shopping experience for customers. Amazon recently launched a service allowing customers to try on eyewear products, while Avon has also started an AR service which allows users to try on over 400 makeup products.
JD Sports was recently fined £1.5 million for fixing prices of Rangers FC replica kits and other clothing products.
