Pinterest ‘cuts 150 employees’ from workforce

Pinterest is reportedly axing 150 roles amidst a wave of job cuts across the technology industry.

The job cuts represent less than five per cent of the tech company’s workforce, a person familiar with the business told Bloomberg.

The news comes days after IBM announced nearly 4,000 layoffs after failing to hit its annual cash target for 2022, while there were also reports that Spotify had plans to reduce its workforce.

It was reported recently that Microsoft would cut around 11,000 roles – with some jobs axed from human resources and engineering divisions.

Google’s parent company Alphabet also announced it is laying off roughly 12,000 employees, around six per cent of its workforce.
