Microsoft UK has appointed Gavin Jackson, former chief executive of EMEA for UiPath, to succeed Damian Stirrett as the managing director of its enterprise commercial business.
Stirrett, who has led the UK enterprise business for six years, is moving to a new role within Microsoft.
Previous to UiPath, Jackson spent more than four years at Amazon Web Services, where he oversaw its UK and EU operations. He was responsible for leading teams and implementing strategic initiatives that helped customers adopt a cloud-first strategy as part of their digital transformation journey.
Cindy Rose, Microsoft UK chief executive, commented that Jackson "brings a wealth of expertise and experience in leading commercial teams and businesses", adding: "He is uniquely qualified to lead Microsoft’s commercial business into the future and build on the success we have achieved with our customers.”
Jackson said: “I look forward to the opportunity to work with this world-class team to take the commercial business to the next level.”
