Logitech names Matteo Anversa as new chief financial officer

Logitech International, the Swiss-American computer accessories maker, has announced the appointment of Matteo Anversa as its new chief financial officer, effective 1 September 2024.

Anversa will join Logitech's Group Management Team, reporting directly to chief executive officer Hanneke Faber.

The appointment comes after a period of interim leadership by Meeta Sunderwala, Logitech's chief accounting officer, who stepped in following the departure of previous finance chief Charles Boynton after just over a year in the role.

Anversa brings a wealth of experience to Logitech, having most recently served as chief financial officer at Gentherm, a leader in thermal management technologies for the automotive industry. His career also includes stints at global brands such as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ferrari, and General Electric.

Hanneke Faber, Logitech's chief executive officer, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment, citing Anversa's background in engineering and industrial technology as well as his diverse B2B experience. "Matteo brings skills and experiences well suited to Logitech," Faber stated. "His uniquely global perspective with significant experience drawn from living and working in Asia, Europe and North America will be a strong addition to the team."

Anversa, a dual citizen of the United States and Italy, holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Parma, Italy. He expressed excitement about joining Logitech, saying, "I'm delighted to be joining Logitech at this exciting time in the company's history." He added, "With strong business momentum, an innovation-driven culture, and rigorous operational discipline, Logitech has exceptional growth potential."

Looking ahead to his new role, Anversa stated, "I look forward to partnering with Hanneke, the board and leadership team to execute on our clear strategic priorities and drive shareholder value creation."

The news comes on the heels of Logitech's recent upward revision of its full-year sales and profit forecasts, buoyed by strong performance across product categories and increased contribution from artificial intelligence-equipped devices.
