Just Eat expands Co-op delivery service

Just Eat has expanded its delivery partnership with Co-op to nearly 1,000 stores as part of the retailer's strategy to take up 30% of the UK's quick-convenience market.

The move follows a successful trial with the takeaway and grocery delivery service which launched in December 2022.

The service was initially rolled out to 50 stores in the UK, with the aim of expanding to 1,000 shops by Spring this year.

“Our partnership offers convenience grocery delivery from store to door across the UK – bringing access to a wide range of fantastic Co-op products which are delivered to our customers homes within minutes," said Amy Heather, strategic accounts director, Just Eat. "This partnership is another example of Just Eat’s commitment to grocery in the UK and Co-op is proving to be a popular addition for our customers.”

Co-op also recently launched robot deliveries in Greater Manchester, which will initially be available to 24,000 residents across 10,500 households.

“Co-op is combining its physical and digital routes to market stores to further expand and grow its online reach,” said Chris Conway, e-commerce director, Co-op. “With our stores located in the heart of local communities, closer to where our members and customers live and work - we continually look to create increased flexible options online.”
