Deliveroo launches Too Good To Go partnership

Deliveroo has launched a new partnership with Too Good To Go.

Too Good To Go connects consumers to unsold food from businesses at lower prices to save it going to waste.

Consumers in Cambridge, Bristol, Brighton, and Manchester can now download the food saving app and choose a local Deliveroo HOP site to purchase a bag of unsold food and collect it between 3-10pm.

The discounted food bags include a range of non-frozen food including own-brand products, groceries or meat and fish nearing their sell-by-date from ‘Deliveroo HOP’ grocery sites.

The expanded partnership follows a successful trial of the first Deliveroo and Too Good To Go site in Battersea, London.

The move comes a month after Aldi said it was addressing its food waste problem by teaming up with Too Good To Go.

The supermarket retailer said that is trialling the app across seven stores in the Northeast of England.

“We’re excited to be expanding our partnership with Too Good To Go across the UK after seeing the demand from our customers in London earlier this year,” said Stephen Goldstein, executive vice president, global head of grocery and Deliveroo HOP at Deliveroo. “At Deliveroo we want to make it easy and convenient for customers to get their hands on healthy and affordable groceries in the most sustainable way.

"This partnership with Too Good To Go helps make sustainable eating more accessible for thousands more people.”
