Deliveroo announces new partnership with Asda

Deliveroo has announced a new partnership with Asda which will see the company provide on-demand grocery delivery across 15 of the supermarket's UK stores.

The supermarket retailer plans to launch the service across 300 Asda stores by the end of the year, as part of plans to increase the number of delivery options it has available to customers.

“We want to create more opportunities to conveniently shop favourite Asda products and offer the broadest range of delivery options of any grocer, giving customers the flexibility to choose how and when they shop with us,” said Simon Gregg, senior vice president of e-commerce at Asda. “Our partnership with Deliveroo will extend this further, as Asda customers across the UK will soon be able to get products delivered in as little as 30 minutes.”

Households in Wakefield, Leeds, and Manchester will be the first to have access to on-demand delivery of over 2400 products from the Asda Range via the Deliveroo app.

“Asda offers great value for money and we’re delighted that Deliveroo customers can shop from a huge range of products, bringing even more choice to families and households across the UK,” said Georgie Williams, director of grocery, UK&I, Deliveroo. “All delivered to your door in minutes.”
