David Guetta has said that the future of music is in artificial intelligence (AI).

The French DJ told the BBC that he has used AI to add vocals to a song in the style of Eminem.

The news broadcaster said that Guetta used two AI sites to create lyrics the and a rap for a live show – which is not being released commercially.

The DJ told the BBC that musicians will use the technology to make new sounds in the future because “every new music style comes from a new technology.”

He said that while he is sure the future of music is in AI, it will be used only as a tool.

"Nothing is going to replace taste," he told BBC music correspondent Mark Savage at the Brit Awards. "What defines an artist is, you have a certain taste, you have a certain type of emotion you want to express, and you're going to use all the modern instruments to do that."
