The UK technology sector gathered in London on 14 May for the National Technology Awards 2026, with leading businesses, public sector organisations and innovators recognised for achievements spanning AI, cyber security, digital transformation and enterprise technology.
Hosted at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square, the ceremony was presented by comedian, writer and broadcaster Daliso Chaponda and sponsored by Made Tech.
Chaponda, who rose to national prominence after reaching the final of Britain’s Got Talent, brought his trademark humour and international perspective to the evening. Since his breakthrough television appearance, his performances have amassed more than 300 million online views, while his work across television, radio and live comedy has established him as one of the UK’s best-known stand-up performers.
Among the night’s standout winners was Leonardo UK, which secured both the Innovation of the Year and AI Innovation of the Year awards, underlining the growing influence of advanced AI technologies across critical sectors.
Octopus Energy also enjoyed a strong evening, winning Tech Company of the Year alongside the Smart & Connected Technology Project of the Year category, while its Octopus Electroverse platform took the Mobile Innovation of the Year title.
Elsewhere, PressHop claimed two awards for Innovative Enterprise Product of the Year and Media, Entertainment & Publishing Technology of the Year. Epsilon Telecommunications was another multiple winner, recognised in both the Telecommunications Technology of the Year and User Experience Technology of the Year categories.
Major category winners also included Quantexa for Tech Growth Business of the Year, Wiz for Cloud Innovation of the Year and VodafoneThree for Digital Transformation of the Year.
The awards also highlighted the increasing role of technology in the public sector, with projects involving the Home Office, HMRC and the Met Office among the evening’s winners.
