Civica acquires HealthTech specialist InfoFlex

Civica Group has acquired digital health software provider InfoFlex.

The UK arm of the group bought Chameleon Information Management Services and its subsidiary InfoFlex, which is based near Watford.

InfoFlex provides cloud software which integrates with existing hospital systems across 65 clinical specialities, including cancer services, digital remote monitoring solutions, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and endoscopy.

It has more than 40,000 users across more than 130 NHS trusts. During the COVID-19 pandemic, InfoFlex stated that trusts have used the platform to help manage data collection and reporting.

Wayne Story, chief executive at Civica, said: “We’re excited about the opportunities ahead to add even more value and digital capability for our customers and further help transform the way trusts deliver clinical care.”

InfoFlex chief executive Marc Warburton added: “As the next stage of our development, we’re excited to be joining Civica - this will enable us to benefit from the opportunities and expertise of the wider group, helping us to support more customers in providing the data and information management software and innovation to improve health outcomes.”

Civica delivers software solutions to over 500 customers across the NHS and private care sector globally - from electronic prescribing and patient records to enhanced workforce efficiency.

The group provides cloud delivery to more than 20,000 clinicians, facilitates the scanning of 150 million documents and images and processes around £60 billion of NHS funds annually.
