Scurri partners HIVED on emission-free deliveries

Delivery management platform Scurri has announced the integration of logistics company HIVED’s tech on its platform.

Scurri connects the online ordering, shipping, and delivery process for online retailers.

The new partnership will allow retailers on the Scurri platform to deliver online orders emission-free across the Greater London area using HIVED’s fleet of electric vans.

“Both retailers and consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the impact delivery can have on our environment and are beginning to tackle this issue,” said Rory O’Connor, founder and chief executive of Scurri. “HIVED is a brilliant carrier for us to add to our network, as it does just that.”

Jack Follett, growth lead at HIVED, said that the would improve order fulfilment.

He said: “Our approach of paying drivers fairly, owning the whole parcel journey and using only emission-free electric vehicles is dramatically improving customer experiences and we look forward to providing this service to a new group of retailers using the Scurri platform.”

Firms are increasingly looking to drive down their carbon emissions. Amazon recently announced plans to expand its e-bike fleet in the UK, while the government recently announced £73 million in funding for clean transport projects across the UK.
