Gmail named top account for forgotten passwords

Gmail is the online application internet users most forget the password for with an average of 454,100 global monthly searches for ‘forgot Gmail password,’ according to new research.

Reboot Online Marketing used online analytics tool Ahrefs to establish which online accounts people most forget the password for.

Apple ID came second, with 308,250 average global monthly searches for forgotten password.

This is closely followed by Instagram with 118,000.

In fourth place is Microsoft Windows 10, with 86,000 monthly searches.

Facebook came in at 5th place, with 78,500 searches per month.

Amazon came in at 10th place, with on average 32,900 searches for forgot Amazon password per month.
