Facebook rolls out Feeds tab

Facebook is adding a new tab to the shortcuts taskbar called Feeds.

Set to roll out globally over the next week, the new tab will enable users to control what content they see and discover on Facebook.

Within the new tab, users have the ability to curate lists of their favourite friends and pages, and filter their content within the Feeds tab.

In a post to the social media platform, Mark Zuckerberg, chief executive of Facebook and parent company Meta, announced: “One of the most requested features for Facebook is to make sure people don't miss friends' posts.

“So today we're launching a Feeds tab where you can see posts from your friends, groups, Pages and more separately in chronological order.

“The app will still open to a personalised feed on the Home tab, where our discovery engine will recommend the content we think you'll care most about.

He added: “The Feeds tab will give you a way to customise and control your experience further.”

In another tweak to its taskbar, the social media giant is also renaming its taskbar’s primary tab to ‘Home’.
