Facebook is testing Q&A app Hotline

Social media giant Facebook is reportedly testing Hotline, a Q&A app which is similar to Clubhouse but with a video option.

The online platform enables users to interact with an audience who can pose questions via audio or text.

TechCrunch, which first reported the testing, said that estate agent investor Nick Huber was the first to publicly trial the app.

Facebook told the online newspaper that Huber represents the kind of user the company wants to work with for Hotline. The social media platform said it is targeting people who are looking to expand their skills or finances.

The investor talked about investing in industrial property as a second income stream on the trial call.

TechCrunch revealed that Hotline is being led by Eric Hazzard, who joined the social media platform when it bought his positivity Q&A app ‘tbh.’
