Digital fashion company launches NFT store on Crypto.com

Digital fashion start-up DRESSX is launching a new Non-Fungible Token (NFT) store on Crypto.com, the marketplace for trading and collecting NFTs.

NFTs are units of data, or virtual assets that are stored on a blockchain ledger.

The digitised tokens, which are becoming increasingly popular, can come in many different formats, including digital artwork, photographs, and fashion.

According to a report by Forbes, which first reported the partnership, the company's first digital fashion collection will include styles inspired by billionaire Elon Musk’s SpaceX.

The collection will be available for a limited time from 29 August.

DRESSX will also be launching its digital fashion as part of Farfetch’s new Pre-Order platform, the business magazine reported.

The virtual fashion business digitised 20 menswear and 20 womenswear pre-order designs from the most recent collections of a number of luxury brands, including Balenciaga, Palm Angels, Khaite, Dolce & Gabbana, Nanushka, and Off-White.

"Additionally, we created an editorial photoshoot and video featuring precise digital twins of the physical designs and initiated a digital influencer campaign featuring multiple luxury brands to promote the pre-order collection without any physical materials, unnecessary shipments, or damages for the environment," DRESSX co-founder Natalia Modenova told the publication.
