Apple ‘valued at almost $3 trillion’

Apple Inc is worth nearly $3 trillion, according to a report by Reuters.

The news agency said that on Monday the tech giant’s shares fell by just over 2 per cent at $175.74. Because of this, the company just missed the $3 trillion mark.

The report said that Apple’s stock increased by around 11 per cent last week, which extended its over 30 per cent year-to-date gain.

According to Reuters, the company’s value jumped from $2 trillion to the current figure in just 16 months.
