Apple to ‘launch new Mac’ with more powerful chips

Apple is expected to release a new Mac laptop that will include more powerful chips on Monday.

According to a report from Reuters, analysts believe that the company will unveil its new computers at an event later today.

In the past, Bloomberg has reported that the technology giant plans to launch two new MacBook Pro computers with 14 and 16-inch screens.

The US business released some new laptop models in 2020 that used its “Apple Silicon” chips.

The company said at the time that these chips would be phased into its new laptop ranges over a two-year period.

The news agency reported that before today, Apple’s most powerful laptops relief on chips from Intel.

It said that Apple has already placed a first generation in-house-designed M1 chip into some MacBooks as well as its Mac Mini and iMac desktop machines. The new, bigger MacBook Pro computers are expected to include a second, more powerful chip.
