Wireless Infrastructure Group

Barings has announced that it has sold its investment in Wireless Infrastructure Group (WIG) to 3i Infrastructure.

WIG operates a portfolio of over 2,000 communication towers to deliver mobile signals and is scaling up its deployment of high capacity, 5G-ready wireless infrastructure.

Barings' five-year investment in WIG has been successful, with the company doubling in scale, and although it is not stated, the shares are estimated to be valued in the region of £200m.
