SAP buys Callidus Software

SAP America is acquiring CallidusCloud for a price tag of $2.4 billion, with SAP has electing to fund the transaction with existing cash balances and an acquisition term loan. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2018.

CallidusCloud provides cloud-based sales, marketing, learning, and customer experience solutions and is used by 5,800 organisations, and SAP intends to combine CallidusCloud’s Lead to Money suite with SAP’s own Customer Engagement suite to create a more complete CRM portfolio, offering companies tools to enhance sales execution and customer engagement with sales planning and forecasting, territory management, and pipeline management.
