Having had a non-conventional entry into the finance profession(first completing a Music Degree as a Cellist), Alex Wyatt is a seasoned finance professional with 20 years of experience across a range of companies and sectors, including Financial Services (Zopa and Capital One), Health & Beauty Retail (Boots) and the Public Sector (Independent Living Fund and HMRC).

Her approach to her career has been led by continually reassessing the everchanging demands between work and life balance. This has ranged from taking a career break to focus on her then 2 young children, to taking on responsibilities as Head of Finance with a longer commute once parental demands eased. In Alex’s words: “There is only so much gas in the tank. Be deliberate about where you need to use it or you’ll run out”.

Alex grew up in Germany and came to the UK over 25 years ago and now lives in Nottingham with her husband, two teenagers, sausage dogs and ducks.
